This year's international IRO test MRT - Area took place in Kranjska Gora and its surroundings from 11.5. – 15.5. 2022. The test consisted of two daytime sector searches and a nighttime roadside search.

Ares and I were registered in the second term from 13.5. – 15.5. 2022. It all started with the arrival and registration at the RDC, veterinary examination of the dog, inspection of the equipment and installation.

After a good two hours it really started. Some had already had their first searches, Ares and I had the theoretical and practical part of veterinary first aid. The next day - Saturday, we had our first search at the "Hostel" site at 11 a.m. A site of approximately 70,000 km, 60 minutes were available for searching. There was a priority zone at this work site, which you had to first "type" into your GPS and find it. We found one person in this area, but then we continued our search and in about 20 minutes we found two more people. We continued our search, but after explaining the tactics for continuing, the two judges stopped us, saying that we could finish, because we had found all the persons. Ares really did a superb job with all three findings.

A break of several hours followed, and at 16:30 we had our next search at the "Rampa" work site, near the village of Belca. The work site may have been a bit smaller, but it was more overgrown, full of fallen trees in certain parts and steeper in certain parts. Here, too, Ares did a great job and found three victims in just over 20 minutes, inspected the entire area. Right before the end, we also encountered a "disruption", a "drunk" person who was part of the script. Well, we successfully mastered that too.

Before us was the last task, a night search along the path in Rateče, about 3 kilometers long. At this work site, you follow the route that you have drawn on your GPS device, and the victims are about 10 meters away from this "virtual" route. We started exactly at midnight, and fairly quickly Ares found the first figurant. Despite all our efforts, we did not manage to find the other figurants until the end of the journey. Then on Sunday we were free until the announcement of the results. We had more than 70% found, which is the first condition for passing the test. Of course, there is also the evaluation of the evaluators, which determines whether you pass the test or not.

At 1:30 p.m., the announcement of the results followed, at which Ares and I were positively evaluated and thereby obtained the International IRO license for searching for missing persons in nature. Well done Aresko!!
